In a few days, will be held the 31st edition of the Yole Tour of Martinique. Do not miss this traditional sporting event and consider renting a car to get to each stage.
The Yole Tour is more than just a water race (with “yole” boats, as the name suggests). The Yole Tour is a very important event in the Martinican culture. The stages always welcome thousands of people who came to watch the race from the beaches, coasts or from the sea (on boats or jet skis).
This year, the tour will begin with the “Course contre l’Alizé” (Race against the tradewind), scheduled Sunday July 26, 2015. The tour will start officially, Monday, July 27, from the town of Robert. The ships will then go through Le Diamant (Tuesday, July 28), Fort-de-France (Wednesday and Thursday July 29 and 30), Le Prêcheur (Friday July 31st) and through Trinité (Saturday August 1st). The tour will end Sunday August 2nd at Robert where it started.
The theme of the 2015 edition of the Yole Tour is “Energy Transition” and, of course, many events are planned throughout the week.
A little advice from Jumbo Car Martinique : rent an economical car to go to the stages and the animations of the Yole Tour 2015.
The Yole Tour of Martinique will be held from the 26th of July to the 2nd of August. If you want to admire the show from the beach or from the coast, it's better to rent a car.
